Meditating with tiger’s eye is a wonderful way to harness the stone’s powers. And the good news is that it’s very easy to do this depending on the number of stones you have, what you need right now, and how much time you have.

You can meditate with tiger’s eye in 3 ways: using affirmations to ask for what you need; placing the crystals around you to create an energy field; and/or holding a crystal on your lower chakras as you bring yourself into a deep state of relaxation.

By the end of this post, you’ll have a simple, step-by-step method to connect with and meditate with your tiger’s eye.

Tiger’s eye is the stone of courage, focus, foundation, abundance, and creativity. You can meditate with it whenever you’re feeling unsure or lost, demotivated, like you have a block in your life or wealth, or if you’re nervous about something that’s coming up.

It’s best to meditate with tiger’s eye once or twice a week. Regular connection with this stone builds a strong bond between you and the crystal, and it brings you greater benefits over time than only using the crystal when you really need it.

Before meditating with tiger’s eye, be sure to cleanse and charge it to remove old energy and tap into “clean” and powerful energy.

How to meditate with tiger’s eye

Below is a simple, calming tiger’s eye meditation. Feel free to use this method or adapt it to what feels good to you. Let your intuition guide you and tell you what’s right for you.

Set your intention

Start by setting your intention for the meditation. What do you need most from the crystal right now?

Here are some ideas on what to ask for from a tiger’s eye:

  • Confidence
  • Motivation
  • Focus
  • Courage
  • More energy
  • More money or wealth
  • Opportunities to come your way
  • Safe-keeping and protection
  • Creative inspiration
  • Better intimate relationships
  • Better work performance
  • To feel grounded

Closely examine the stone

Try to get your senses involved with the crystal, to form an active connection with it for the meditation (you’ll see how we do this in a little bit).

Take a good look at the tiger’s eye while holding it up in the air and turning it around. Notice the colors, shape, patterns, how shiny it is, or anything else unique about your stone.

Feel the entire crystal with your hands, and smell it.

This is an important step in the meditation, even if you always use the same crystal in your meditation.

Get comfortable and place the tiger’s eye on a lower chakra

Lie down somewhere comfortable, where you won’t be interrupted. Wear warm clothes and cover yourself with a blanket if the air is chilly.

Tiger’s eye is an important crystal for the root and sacral chakras. Place the tiger’s eye on the chakra linked to what you want from the stone:

  • The root chakra is found at the base and the last three vertebrae of your spine. This chakra gives you confidence, motivation, focus, and a strong foundation that keeps you grounded. Place the stone in your groin area to access the root chakra.
  • The sacral chakra works on sensual and creative energy. If you’d like to boost a romantic relationship or find inspiration and remove a creative block, use tiger’s eye on your sacral chakra just below the belly button.

If you want, place the stone under your clothes, directly on your skin, so you can feel the crystal throughout the meditation.

If you have multiple tiger’s eyes and want to create an energy field around yourself, simply place the stones around you (above, below, and on each side) when you lie down to do the meditation.

Take three deep breaths

Close your eyes and relax your body. Take three deep, slow breaths, counting in for five and out for five.

Try to breathe in and out with your tummy. If the crystal moves around, gently hold it in place with your non-dominant hand – use your left hand if you’re right-handed and your right hand if you’re left-handed.
The non-dominant hand is the hand we use when asking for blessings and want to receive gifts from our crystals.

See the crystal in your mind’s eye

Picture the crystal in your mind. Try to see it as clearly as you can floating gently in the space in front of your face. Remember the shape, feel, colors, markings, smell, and anything else you can about the stone.

The purpose of this exercise is to open your connection and communication with the crystal, and to forget about everything around you and any worries you might have. It also prepares the crystal to hear what you want to ask for.

True connection with a crystal often takes time and practice, so don’t give up if you struggle the first few times.

The more often you try to connect with your crystal, the easier it will become to recognize an “active connection”. An active connection with a tiger’s eye gives some people a feeling of warmth in their lower chakras (belly and groin areas).

Tell the crystal what you seek

Once you feel connected with the stone or as connected as you can be at this time, ask the crystal to bring you what you need. You can either ask silently in your mind or speak it out loud.

Click here for some ideas on what to say to a tiger’s eye.

Ask at least three times, and be very clear and specific about what you want. Do not ask the tiger’s eye to take something away, but rather ask it to bring you something.

For example, don’t ask for a demanding work project to be given to someone else. Ask for the focus, knowledge, and courage to complete the project on time.

You can ask as many times as you need to, but ask only for one thing per meditation. If you ask for more gifts, you are “diluting” the request and you probably won’t get the results you want.

Let your intuition guide you and stop when you feel you’ve asked enough times.

Thank the crystal

There is power in gratitude. Giving thanks to the stone will strengthen its powers to help you, making it a give-and-take relationship.

To show appreciation, whisper the words “Thank you” and feel true and absolute gratitude with your entire body. Stay in this bubble of thankfulness until you’re ready to wake up from it.

Now slowly open your eyes and rise.

Keep your crystal in the right location

If you want to intensify the properties of your tiger’s eye and your meditations, keep the stone in a place that serves what you are asking from it.

For example, if you’re asking for more money or abundance, keep a stone in your purse or with precious metals, such as gold or silver jewelry.
