A Calming Calcite Meditation – How To Meditate With Calcite Crystals

Are you ready to meditate with your calcite crystal?

You can meditate with a calcite crystal by using affirmations to ask for what you need; placing several crystals around you to create an energy field; and/or placing calcite near your chakras as you go into a deep state of relaxation.

By the end of this post, you’ll have a simple, step-by-step method to meditate with calcite and ask for what you need.

Calcite is the crystal of emotional healing, creativity, spiritual growth, and memory and learning. You can meditate with calcite whenever you’re feeling emotionally imbalanced, creatively blocked, spiritually disconnected, or in need of mental clarity.

You can get my full guide to calcite here.

Meditating with crystals is kind of like brushing your teeth: You need to do it regularly for the best results.

This is why I recommend meditating with calcite or any crystal once or twice a week. Regular meditations help you keep an open connection between yourself and your crystals, and it maintains a balance in your life so things don’t have a chance to get out of control.

Don’t wait until you really need to meditate before dusting off your crystals and giving it a bash. But you can meditate as often as you want, and definitely should do it when you feel you need to.

Before meditating with calcite, be sure to cleanse and charge your crystal to remove old energy and tap into “clean” and powerful new energy.

How to meditate with calcite

Below is a simple, calming calcite meditation. Feel free to use this method or adapt it to what feels good to you. Let your intuition guide you and you’ll know what to do.

Set your intention

Start by setting your intention for the meditation. What do you need most from the calcite right now?

Here are some things you can ask a calcite crystal to bring you:

  • Emotional healing
  • Stress relief
  • Enhanced creativity
  • Spiritual growth
  • Improved memory
  • Better learning
  • More energy
  • Psychic development
  • Physical healing
  • Emotional balance
  • Clarity of thought
  • Increased self-esteem
  • Inner peace

Once you’ve set an intention and you know what you want to work on, come up with an affirmation or two that you can use during your meditation and during the day when you’re out and about.

Click here for affirmations you can say during the meditation to ask for what you need.

Closely examine the crystal

Study your crystal as part of the meditation.

Take a good look at the calcite while holding it up in the air and turning it around.

Try to get your senses involved with the crystal, to form an active connection with it for the meditation (you’ll see how we make our final connection with the crystal in a little bit).

This step ispart of the meditation because you’ll start forgetting about the rest of the world and bring your attention to the present moment. Be fully involved in this step and try to enjoy the bond that’s forming with your crystal.

Notice the colors, shape, patterns, and anything else unique about your crystal.

Feel the entire crystal with your hands, and smell it.

This is an important step in the meditation, even if you always use the same crystal. Please don’t skip it unless you really have to.

Get comfortable and place the crystal near your chakras

Before starting the meditation, choose a chakra that you’d like to activate during this meditation with your calcite crystal based on the crystal’s color.

Different colors of calcite activate different chakras:

  • Root Chakra: Red calcite is linked to the root chakra, the energy center responsible for grounding and survival instincts.
  • Sacral Chakra: Orange calcite is associated with the sacral chakra, which governs creativity, emotions, and sexual energy.
  • Solar Plexus Chakra: Yellow or gold calcite stimulates the solar plexus chakra, which is the energy center for personal power and self-esteem.
  • Heart Chakra: Green or pink calcite is often linked with the heart chakra, the center of love, compassion, and emotional balance.
  • Throat Chakra: Blue calcite is associated with the throat chakra, which governs communication, self-expression, and truth.
  • Third Eye Chakra: Indigo or violet calcite is believed to activate the third eye chakra, the center of intuition, foresight, and spiritual insight.
  • Crown Chakra: Clear or white calcite is most often linked to the crown chakra, which is associated with spiritual connection and enlightenment.

Different colors of calcite activate different chakras. Use the picture above to locate the chakra that your calcite crystal will activate, then put the crystal near to that chakra for your meditation.

Lie down flat where you will be comfortable and you won’t be interrupted. Wear warm clothes and cover yourself with a blanket if the air is chilly.

Put the calcite on the floor or bed next to you, close to the chakra you are trying to activate.

For example, if you have a blue calcite, put it near your throat where your throat chakra is found.

If you have several calcite crystals and want to create an energy field around yourself to amplify the crystals’ energies, simply place a crystal above, below, and on each side of you when you lie down to meditate. Feel free to use different crystals for this grid – they don’t all need to be calcite to work.

Take three deep breaths

Now close your eyes and relax your body. Put your hands next to your body or place one on top of the other on your stomach.

Take three deep, slow breaths, counting in for five and out for five. I like to breathe in through my nose and out with my mouth.

Try lifting and filling your tummy with air when you breathe in. This is called “belly breathing.”

This method helps you take in deeper breaths and a lot more revitalizing oxygen than regular shallow breathing.

See the calcite in your mind’s eye

Picture the calcite in your mind.

Try to see it as clearly as you can floating gently in the space in front of your face. Remember the shape, feel, colors, markings, smell, and anything else you can about the crystal.

The purpose of this exercise is to open your connection and communication with the crystal, and to forget about everything around you and any worries you might have.

It also prepares the crystal to hear what you want to ask for.

True connection with a crystal often takes time and practice, so don’t give up if you struggle the first few times to see it when you close your eyes.

The more often you try to connect with your crystal, the easier it becomes to recognize an “active connection.”

An active connection with calcite gives some people a feeling of warmth and light shining around their body. But you could feel the connection in another way.

Pay attention to how your body reacts and tells you that it is making this connection, so you recognize it when it happens.

Tell the calcite what you seek

Once you feel connected with the calcite, or as connected as you can be at this time, ask the crystal to bring you what you need.

You can ask silently in your mind or speak it out loud as an affirmation or open dialogue (just talking as things come up for you).

If you’re using an affirmation, repeat it at least three times, and be very clear and specific about what you do want: Always ask a crystal to bring something rather than take something away.

For example, don’t ask for a nervous feeling in your stomach to disappear. Ask for a calm and peaceful center. Or use one of my affirmations for increased self-esteem, such as “I believe in myself always in all ways.”

You can also use phrases like “I remember things,” “I have a lot of energy,” or any other affirmations that resonate with you.

Ask as many times as you need to, but ask only for one thing per meditation. If you ask for more gifts, you are diluting the request and probably won’t get the results you want.

Let your intuition guide you and stop when you feel you’ve asked enough times.

Thank the calcite

There is power in gratitude.

Giving thanks to your calcite strengthens its powers to help you, making this a wonderful bond and friendship.

To show appreciation, whisper the words “Thank you” and feel true and absolute gratitude with your entire body.

Stay in this bubble of quiet thankfulness until you’re ready to wake up from it.

Now slowly open your eyes and rise.

Keep your calcite in the right place

If you want to intensify the properties of your calcite and your meditations, keep the crystal in a place that serves what you ask from it.

For example, if you want to benefit from calcite’s healing and balancing properties, keep calcite in your bedroom, close to your bed.

Here’s a list of all the places to keep your calcite and what each place brings you (you’ve probably never thought of most of these before!)
