Fluorite is a versatile crystal that’s all about focus, enlightenment, and the flow of positive energy.

The best places to keep fluorite are on your body, in a bedroom, in the living room, on your desk, and in the car. Different colors bring different gifts, so be sure to choose the right fluorite color for what you need.

The truth is that there are many places to keep fluorite that you’ve probably never thought of. Preparing the stone and putting it in the right space makes all the difference in how this crystal blesses you.

Let’s explore these places and gifts together.

By the end of this post, you’ll know:

  • How to prepare fluorite
  • 9 places to keep fluorite and why

Preparing fluorite

Fluorite, like all crystals, must be cleansed and charged before it can do anything for you.

Whether you’ve just brought the crystal home or you have one that’s been sitting around for a while, it’s important to first cleanse it of the energy it carries and charge it with new energy.

To cleanse fluorite, place it in healthy soil, water, sunlight, or moonlight. These elements send energy from the fluorite back into the earth, then charge the stone to make it vibrant and powerful once more.

Once cleansed and charged, decide where to keep your fluorite based on what you want to be blessed with. Below is a list of places you might want to consider and why.

You can keep fluorite…

Here’s my blog post that goes through all the things that fluorite is good for and what colors to use.

In your bedroom

Keep fluorite in your bedroom under your pillow, inside the pillowcase, or on your nightstand.

Depending on the color you choose, fluorite can help to revive physical intimacy, enhance relationships, relieve stress, bring relaxation, and ground you. This crystal can also help you solve problems in your sleep, and you might wake up with solutions or creative ideas in the morning!

It’s also believed that fluorite reduces nightmares and promotes lucid dreaming, when you’re “awake” and aware in a dream.

On your desk

Keep fluorite on your desk, either on the desk, in a drawer, or taped under the desk.

Fluorite is a wonderful crystal for focus, mental clarity, and emotional balance, which can be especially helpful during times of high stress or intense workloads.

It also brings self-confidence and attracts wealth, making it an all-round good stone for an office in the home or at a company.

In a meditation or yoga space

Many people find that fluorite helps them connect with their higher selves and deepen their spiritual practices.

If you’re lucky enough to have a dedicated meditation or spiritual practice room, choose the colors of fluorite that you want to work with and keep them in this space. The high vibrations of these crystals can stimulate all seven chakras, and promote spiritual growth and intuition.

In the living room

Fluorite brings positive energy flow and harmony to the living room, which is the central gathering place in a home.

Keep fluorite crystals in a glass bowl as a decorative piece, get a candle with fluorite in it, or choose a single large piece that you love and display it (I particularly love rainbow fluorite for its beautiful mix of colors).

On your non-dominant hand or wrist

An easy and beautiful way to carry fluorite crystal with you wherever you go is to wear it in jewelry, either in a bracelet, a ring, or a pendant. Or carry a fluorite worry stone in your purse, handbag, or gym bag.

If you choose a pretty bracelet, like this one, or a ring, put it on your non-dominant hand for two reasons:

  1. This is your gift-receiving side. So, if you’re right-handed, wear fluorite on your left hand. If you’re left-handed, wear the jewelry on your right hand.
  2. You do less with your non-dominant hand, so there’s less chance of banging or damaging the crystal. Fluorite is not as hard as many other crystals, so it can get scratched.

In the garden

Keep fluorite in the garden for better plant growth.

If your plants keep dying and you need help in the garden or with indoor pot plants, try burying fluorite crystal in the soil. This helps plants grow better and brings a flow of positive energy into the space for them to flourish.

Once you’re satisfied with the plants, dig up the crystal. Give it a rinse under warm water and use it for something else as it’s now cleansed and charged from all that time in the soil!

In the car

Keep a fluorite crystal in your car if you spend a lot of time driving. Fluorite enhances focus and concentration on the road, and promotes safe travels.

Put the fluorite on your dashboard, hang it from the rear view mirror, or put it in the glove compartment.

On a charging station

If you don’t have anywhere specific to keep your fluorite at this time or you want to keep any colored fluorite crystal fully charged for when you need it, simply create a charging station.

To make a fluorite charging station, use something that removes old energy from the stone and charges it with new energy.

This station could be made from charging crystals, such as a selenite charging bowl, healthy soil, water, salt, or any other crystal charging method from this blog post.
